About Us
"A Tri-Sigma is a woman of class and stature. She is the girl next door. She is a little bit of everything; a trendsetter, a leader, an artist, and an athlete. She is classy, honest, eccentric, and has integrity. She is the definition of beauty."
On April 20, 1898 at Longwood College in Farmville, VA eight women made their dream a reality. Finding a home away from home within the organization the eight founders focused on character, conduct, and friendship to lay a foundation for the future. Sigma Sigma Sigma- Epsilon Phi chapter is part of the Panhellenic Council at UNC-Wilmington established in 1991. Although only on campus for less than 20 years the Epsilon Phi chapter has grown to be one of the largest sororities on campus!
At the Epsilon Phi chapter at UNC-Wilmington the women of our organization are greatly involved in the community both on campus and off. A few community projects we have volunteered for are Habitat for Humanity, volunteering at local elementary schools, Adopt-A-Highway, Beach Sweep, Polar Plunge and many more.
Every year we have an annual Rock-A-Thon downtown to raise money for our national Philanthropy, the Sigma Sigma Sigma Foundation.
Tri-Sigma is actively involved in the UNCW Greek community. In 2007 Greek Woman of the Year was chosen from our sorority, Ms. Brittany Parrott, currently our recruitment director. For the year 2008 we recieved Most Improved Sorority along with Areas of Excellence in Recruitment. We were third place this year in Greek Week and continue to push forward with a competitive edge.
